i got my guinea pig pippin a few weeks ago. I'm a bit worried shes too small fornher age. is she? she is 18 cm and 300g

With guinea pigs you go by the weight not the length. Do you know her age? Where did you get her from?

Guinea pigs should never live alone as they are social animals and need company. If she is alone she will be very lonely.

sorry forgot to mention she was born in nov or dec 11 and she lives with her sister who is a little bigger than her but not much

They sound very small indeed. How long have you had them?

Just keep them on a good diet with 1 cupful of mixed veg per piggy (preferably with one high vitamin C veg like a slice of sweet pepper) unlimited good quality pellets and unlimited good quality hay (should make up to 80% of the daily food intake). As they are so young, they will catch up by growing quickly for longer until they have reached their ideal size. Don't be tempted to overfeed them or feed them empty calories.

they have 2-3 bowls of veggies a day and a bowl of burgess excel I'm really worried but if they are 3-4 months old is it normal?

It is on the small side, but they can still catch up. One of my first piggies was a similar size at that age and still grew to a normal average size of just under a kilo!

Please feed plenty of good hay! here is more information on a healthy diet:

aww hope thats the case with pippin and mable. they have unlimited birgess excel fresh forage grass

Guinea pigs come with an adult range of 800g-1800g (average are 900g-1400g) - that is a huge difference that makes growth charts pretty useless. Guinea pigs also have the ability to keep growing until two years old if they have ground to make up even after they have reached maturity at 12-15 months old when most piggies stop growing.

That gives your boys plenty of time to catch up, so you do not need to worry. As long as they are alert, full of energy, with a healthy coat and they have a slightly plumpish feel as opposed to a bony one, they are fine whatever the current size!
