Took My Piggies Camping

I took my 2 pigs camping in a house trailer and they didn't seem to mind it at all. We camped for 4 nights. I was worried they would hate the small cage they would be in where they are used to a big C&C cage but they didn't mind it at all. I had a big C&C cage outside weather permitting for them to run in. They didn't even mind the 2 1/2 hour drive. I am glad so I know for next year.

I am sure they had a wonderful time @karonus takes his pigs camping too! They have been often featured in The Guinea Pig Magazine.

How lovely! You're the 2nd member on here who takes their piggies camping. Reckon we need piccies of this.With our wildlife it would be too dangerous here. As it is I can't have them out on the lawn in their run without constant supervision in case of snakes, goannas, birds. I have found though that my boys actually enjoy car rides, any kind of ride really. My granddaughter used to take them for outings in a wheeled laundry trolley and they loved it. They still have a wheeled cart we use to transport them around from room to room.

I was surprised that they liked their small cage. I get them outside somewhat here mostly I hold them and feed them grass. I can't let them out by them selves in a run because my husband and I have 15 acres and I was told a bear lives at the farm beside us. So if I do I have to put something over the top and watch them 100% for other animals as well. I find it is either breezy or two hot or cold to let them out. I didn't take any pictures of our trip. That is cute that they love car rides and being wheeled around
