I have some Xeno 450 but all it says in the directions is "put on skin of back on neck then smooth down the skin down the spine" Two questions - how do you get it on the skin down the back through the hair and secondly do you rub it in or just leave it?

Any help much appreciated!

toby had ivermectin recently all the vet did was lift back the fur on his neck and use as many directed then that was it

I always use Xeno 450, its fab. However i have found its a lot to put on so always end up putting it on all the way down their backs.

Hi Julie, Ive done this a few times and I just place the drops on the skin behind the ears and push back the fur on the back of the neck and down the spine, putting a few drops in each place. Keep piggy on your lap until it has absorbed..I keep them occupied with some yummies!

Yeah dont rub it just leave it there :) It's to go on the neck so they can't lick it and stuff

OK, that's great, thank you very much everyone :)

Fiona, as you were kind enough to send it to me in the first place I should have asked your advice when I saw you!

Yes it's just like when you are frontlining dogs for fleas - you just put it on the back of the neck so they can't lick it off.:) I used something similar - think it was Xeno 50 I got though cos I thought my budgie might need some as it appeared to be scratching - on Nemo a few weeks ago because he was scratching like mad and it really did the trick.:)

Well, hopefully no-one, we are doing it as a precaution as we know Xander has never been done and he has a bit of scabbing on his unmentionables. After 48 hrs we will do a GG CocoNeem Melt so between the GG stuff and the Xeno it should cover mites or fungal. In the meantime we have Lavender and Myrrh lotion so hopefully we will get it cleared up one way or the other!

Xander is now back in his cage and safely treated, thanks for the replies :)

I used all the afore mentioned things with good effect, to cover all eventualities!
