Torch - Nail Clipping

HA that answer so SOO helpful! :p I've always just had to guess with my piggies, most of which have had jet black ones. I literally take off the tiniest bit at a time and once you've done 1 nail it's easier to guess the others on the foot if they are similar lengths. I've only hit the quick 3 times since having piggies which is pretty good going but each time was horredous!

Luckily my Maisy Moo has light nails so we do it as soon as it grows.
With my avatar piggy, Poppy Poo Poo Pants, I cut a bit when it needs cutting.
Once I cut Poppy's nails, she didn't squeak or flinch but there was a lot of blood!

It's scary how much it bleeds isn't it?! The first time I did it I really thought it wasn't going to stop!

We have 9 guinea, 2 with light claws and one with all light bar one foot, the rest are black or brown :(

Yeah I think it's more common to have black annoyingly! OMG 9 piggies, I would love that many! You are so lucky! My plan is to have more when we move to our own house :)

Black piggy nails are one of the worst nightmares ever. I really have a bad time everytime I have to clip Teddy's nails, in fact, everytime my brother comes to the house, I ask him to do it, because he does it pretty well and quick xD

Hmmm I just use a cheap one I brought from Wilko when I lived in the flat (needed a torch as the gas meter was outside and down in a locked basement with no electric lol)

This is the one I brought and it helps with Jemima's nails though I have got lazy and don't bother so much anymore
