Goldie
Adult Guinea Pig
On Saturday I collected Milly and Molly from the RSPCA at Walsall. I live near Bath so the journey for us to collect them was over 3 hours travelling and 200 miles.
I am sure that many of you know about little Milly but if you don't here is the link ....

Anyway, they have settled in really well. Molly is a very vocal piggy although she hides under Milly when she wants to. Milly, who was badly cared for on her arrival at the RSCPA, is calm and a little angel! They both had a run about in the lounge for about an hour this evening and Molly was into everything ... even knocking down obstacles we had put in their way to stop them getting into tight corners. By the time they had finished and went back into their box, Molly had to have a lie-down. They were clucking all the time in enjoyment!
The foster mummy did a fantastic job - and was also a really lovely lady - with caring for Milly and building up her weight as there is only 50g difference between them both now.
I rescued Princess from a breeder who wanted to give her away because she was blind, then she gave birth unexpectedly to little Junior 7 weeks later. I felt really good then but knowing that Milly had no hair on her head between her ears nor on her bottom, was very under-weight and had a really bad case of bumblefoot, I feel even better! Her foot is still a little swollen but apparently it was three times that size. I have been rubbing a little Perfect Paws by Gorgeous Guineas into it each day.
We love them both to bits and I have to say that the satisfaction that I have provided them both with a lovely, caring, warm and forever home is immense! xx>>>
