towels for bedding?

hi, it’s me again! i have looked all over the internet for answers to this question but haven’t found any that work for me. i have a midwest cage with a playpen attached. underneath the playpen i’m using a folded towel as a base. is this suitable? in the cage itself i’m using a guineadad fleece liner 2.0, and their hay and everything is in there as well. (which means not as much pee & poo in the playpen.) the playpen is attached to the cage as well. i’ll insert pictures as well. thank you! edit: in these pictures the wires look a lot lower than they are. i’ve also ordered a wire “holder” to keep them up.

I don't see any issues with it but a fleece on top might help it to be more comfortable and ensure what the pigs are sitting on is clean and dry

just something like a fleece blanket? or would it need to be a cage liner? sorry, i’ve only had my guinea pigs for about a month so i’m a new owner, lol. thank you

Any fleece blanket would do one's that aren't very fluffy are good since hay doesn't stick so easily. Wash the fleeces without softener or they won't wick up the pee as easily x
