Hi all , what are the best toys you can give to guinea pigs aprt from loo rolls ,cardboard boxes ?
i am going stuff for our pigs for the long winter days ahead i dont want them getting bored
 
Lots of space to run and hide, cuddles and some treats.
Wicker balls, wire balls with hay stuffed into them, grow carrot tops on a bit of cotton wool for them. Hide the food in the cage/hutch in different positions. Get them to climb up a small box to get to the treat.

If you chop the tops off of carrots (usually works best if there is already a bit of the stalk for leaves to grow out of) and put these into a tray of water or onto wet cotton wool the leaves grow :)

oh so like a tiny bit of carrot on there and then just water regularly. wow i never knew that, I'm going to go home and try it! do you have to trim the leaves down originally?
 
Mine have a variety of stuff from PaH. We have lots of pink things - a lovely fleecey tunnel and a hideyhouse, plus a little pigloo. The pigs love them! They also have cute pink chewblocks, and of course the Naturals Boredom Breakers range is always really good!
