we have recently taken on an elderly boar and as hes not neutered we cant put him with our 2 girls would it be ok to put a small teddy in with him as he chats to the others in the nearby pens and seems lonely...we dont want to neuter him at his age ...thanks

Cuddle toys are always good; a heap of rags to snuggle under, too.

You could boar date him at a rescue that offers that service and allow you to bring your old boy. It is a myth that adult boars can't be bonded - and it does not necessarily have to be with a youngster, either!

If you have the one boar, could you not take him boar dating to get him a friend?
A reputable rescue will bond them carefully.
I agree neutering old boars isnt sensible unless its for medical reasons.
