Hi,
I'm contemplating switching to fleece from litter for my pigs. The litter is the kind that is like crumpled up cardboard-ish stuff (Katee Clean and Cozy for reference). It expensive and sometimes messy. However, both my pigs have never had fleece. Is there a good way to transition? I've also seen pads advertised (like for training a puppy but says for guinea pigs) would I incorporate those? Thoughts on litter vs. fleece welcome as well. I DO like the white litter because if there's a health issue, it helps show it, but still pricey and my pigs are currently very healthy. Thank the Lord. Thank you!

I just transitioned my boy straight from bedding to fleece last year and he was so happy he rolled on it and did zoomies all over the cage. You do not need to do anything special to transition them.

I am also from the US and I got mine from Piggy Bed Spreads but they are thin. But I still like them.

I get a light color that would show any blood.

As for pee pads I have washable that I put in high pee areas

Also I wash the whole thing every three days as I find they get a little antsy when it's dirty.

But some people use noodle mats on top and just wash those every couple days and the fleece less often.
