I have found a 6' x 2' x 2' hutch on gumtree that's available for collection. My sister has a ford mondeo estate and has offered to help but I don't want to take her out of her way if it's not going to fit!
Does anyone know if it'll fit?

It might fit.
I would hire a big van.
We have an Audi A4 and could not fit a 2 level 5ft hutch because it was too wide and long.

Most of it would go in, we transported a 6ft hutch in a rover street wise and most of it went inside, we just tied the boot down. Measure the length of the car with the seats down and see how much it would stick out by. If most of it fits in then it will be sturdy enough to not move while you are driving and you can tie the boot down using bungee cords or strong cord.

It more than likey will not fully fit with the boot lid closed but as long as you secure it then there is no reason why it's shouldn't be fine, you could always use a tape measure to give you a rough idea how much short of space you will be x

I'm not sure if it comes apart but I'd rather keep it in one piece if possible. I think we'll have a go in the estate and tie the boot down if we need to. Although I'm a little tempted to abandon the idea and buy new for the extra £50.

On a side note, asking my sister about the car has got her thinking about rescuing piggies too!

We could get it for you, but we keep getting things wrong! :))
