As everyone knows Fred is coming to Glasgow with me! I was looking at Pet Carriers they are 11.99 in the pet shop which I think is reasonable but just makes me think if they are that price in the pet shop they are bound to be cheaper online!

I love a bargain

Anyone seen them cheaper? :))

You've gotta love this one! :(|)

Not really cheaper when you consider postage but looks comfier and easy to carry!

I don't know what your mode of transport is but if I was travelling some distance, I would personally get the bag purely to keep my hands free for other luggage, the other is fine too, just down to personal preference. :)

We are going by Taxi... Ferry and then Train... then car... oh the adventure poor Fred but I shall have him out for cuddles and lots of treats! :))

He will love it! :))

I would get the bag as it would be comfortable and there is plenty of venting in it. :)

Is he getting his girls in Glasgow? Even better for him if so! :(|)

No hopefully getting his girls before Glasgow, If so they will be coming to Glasgow too! :)), I want to get them by next weekend, but need to have the homecheck and all first rolleyes!

I got a cat carrier that opens at the top which makes it easier to put your hand in/get them out. Can't remember where I got it fromrolleyes I think he would be ok in either that you have suggested. The fabric one might get a bit soggy perhaps and messy with hay? Have you looked on ebay or zooplus for any bargains?

You have a point! I'll have a rucksack for my clothes so will have my hands free for Fred!

I think it might be, but it looks really nice! I have a cat/small dog carrier and I'm worried it will be too small for my three. Yours may still be getting to know eachother then too and if Fred feels amorouus and gets told off he won't really have anywhere to go. I'm planning to bring some kind of bag I can put one in to go on my lap if they get cross with each other.

I'm hoping he won't be lol... I want to get one as big as possible, but I do think the 3 of them will be bonding though fears anyway with it being a strange place.. What too do? by then they should hopefully have been together about 3 weeks, Hopefully nobody will be spaying urine! :))

Um... I wouldn't get my hopes up too high on that one... ;) Bo still gets his fair share of wee-in-the-face, but maybe he is a particularly daft little fur-man?

Right now I'm thinking (and this planning shows what a hopeless piggy slave I've become) to pack my stuff in my north face duffel but put a fleece blanket on the bottom and all my stuff in a in a large bin liner so that on the train (which we will be on for 2 hours) I can just put the bin liner on the luggage rack and then let the pigs out of the transporter into the bag which is about double in size. That way they will have space if they want it and can huddle if they dont. And the bag is waterproof! I wouldn't close it up, of course and I might have to rethink this plan if there are dogs around.

Mine aren't very inclined to huddle up to each other. Not even the vet visit changed that. I just want to have options...

Ok who has 3 piggies and transports them in a nice box? What box do you use?

I don't even know if there will be 3 piggies but I suppose its worth taking into account as there maybe, and if not Fred has a bigger carrier which I'm sure he'll enjoy! :))

The rescues must piggie train their rescues in some way, might be worth pm to some of them to see what they use.

Have you checked out Argos they do reasonably priced cat carriers but not sure they would suit your purpose.

Spot the numpty wheeling the piggies lol! :)).

People will finially think I've lost it! Good idea though!

That made me laugh! These are about as cool as those old lady shopping trolleys and no, I'm not quite old enough for those yet!:))
