Hi,

I am collecting 2 coronet boys tonight and I am concerned about them being stressed in their carrier. Will it affect them? They are only 5 weeks old, don't want to upset them. :(

they should be fine in the carrier just put plently of hay in and they'll be too concerned over that then the journey :))

You've said it - they will be freaked out a bit anyway or overexcited when they get to their new home.

Just give them time to settle. It would be a good idea to ask the breeder what he's feeding them in terms of veg, so you can start with something they know and love.

Thanks!

The breeder is giving me a bit of their normal dried food so I will ask him what else.

I have put in some bedding and hay and 2 bed buddies from P@H! It isn't a massively long journey unless I get lost again. :red

Many of my piggies have travelled regularly.

If you are driving in the dark, you may want to put a towel over their travel box to blot out the sudden flashes of light you get from passing lights. They used to freak out on of my guinea pigs.

Keeping things dark, confined and cosy is the best way of calming them down.
