I thought it would be easier to bath them both together in the kitchen sink at my level! I was all prepared, a towel in the bottom of the sink so they didn't slip with an inch of warm water, warm water for pouring in a jug, warm towel in a sink bowl ready to transfer the wet pigs to towels, the heating was on and the shampoo was ready !

I put the piggies in the water which was fine, and they didn't seem to mind me pouring water on them, I was quite pleased at this stage as to how well it was going! Shampoo on, all good, and then they started jumping out of the sink onto the work tops, shaking themselves off and slipping about. As soon as I grabbed one piggies the other went. My son was trying to help, but then he started paniking saying "there going to die, there going to kill themselves and jump, do something mummy". Very quickly I rinsed the shampoo out and put them in the bowl of towels. We then sat drying them on the sofa with lots of cuddles and gave them some peppers. They actually seemed quite happy about the whole thing, not even one squeel.

Next time it will be in the bath so they can't escape!
I wouldn't recommend the sink, we live and learn and luckily all happy back in there clean cage and smelling very fresh :) !

Oh my what a hard time they gave you! You were so well prepared as well. Hopefully it will be easier for you next time in the bath. :)

This is why I only bath one piggy at a time! I think they do it on purpose :))

Oh my goodness never attempt to bath 2 wriggly piggles together lol! :)) Your dear son, bless him! Even my 7 year old piggy was known to leap up in the air & escape the sink onto the draining board more than once! I always used to do one at a time, in the bath preferably, it's so much safer & easier :)

I've had various experiences with super-fast soapy piggles over the years - now I put them in the bath even though it absolutely KILLS my back! :...

mine do the same, will happily stand there and have the water poured all over them, but as soon as the shampoo comes out thats it their soapy are off. first attempt at bath time i had them in a big storage tub on the living room floor after having read about piggies not liking bath time. there i was one piggie running around the floor and the other happily wet in the box. shampoo time thats it hes leapt outta the box soaking wet, running across the floor. stops to shake soaks the other one and is off under the tv unit. never tried that again. i have found my piggies rather like their baths in the bathroom sink. they can see what I'm doing and i sit on the toilet next them apart from a lot of screaming they will now let me get on with it, unless of course i get the water to near theirs faces but am well prepared with a towel in my lap to catch any piggie who has had enough. they love their after bath cuddles and pepper and to huddle up in their towel under the heater. i found it gets easier

lol, I bath one at a time too, and when my daughter is at school!

Mine also manage to leap for freedom from the bowl in the sink. One poor lass slipped whilst trying her escape routine and before I could grab her (I was filling the jug) she had flipped over bakwards getting a mouth and facefull of water. She did'nt do it again mind you!

Funniest moment for me was when i put my usually laid back and lazy boar on a towel on the floor whilst the shampoo was soaking -in for five mins. I looked around and he'd gone! (unheard of with him as he is usually too cautious to travel without company!)

Searched for him and there he was toddling off as fast as his little legs could carry him off down the hall (nice cream carpet!)....trailing soap suds the lot! Naughty boy rolleyes

Now if they decide to go for a wander I notice they put themselves back in their carry case! :))

Oh dear....
Slippery piggies are a handful at times...!
Let alone two at one time....!
Poor son.... How old is he...?

He's 7. We will def be bathing them in the bath next time :)

Last time i bathed my pigs together they pulled the same trick, luckily i was washing them in a plastic bowl on the floor, I maganged to keep hold of Sookie giving Sherbert the chance to jump out and bury herself between my legs making me just as soggy as they were {:|
