I recently had to take my guinea pigs nugget and checky to the vet. Nugget was the one being seen by the vet. Before I left the vets I checked on them and noticed checky was breathing weakly and felt firm. The vet checked her out and said she was alright and told me to get them back in there cage asap. The carry I have for them is starting to feel too small for them. Does anyone have any advice on a good carry for 2 adult females one is quite bit as she is fluffy. The one they have now is oval in shape and when there both in they don't have any room to do anything but sit still. I don't know which to get as small animal crates are the same size. There are cat crates but the poop can get out of the grid doors. Nugget in the carry is always content eating but checky never moves and seems terrified. My vet is 30 mins away from me they know more about guineas than other vets. I am worried to put them back in the crate cus thought she had passed away when I first checked her at the vet. Any advice is appreciated thank you

A cat carrier is absolutely fine. The base in both my cat carriers (used for my piggies and bunnies) is lower than then the door so poops do not just fall out - the carriers have to be tipped up and shaken to get the poops out.

Hi and welcome

Please be aware that piggies generally like to pile up with each other when travelling.

A cat carrier is a good convenience. I have several small pet carriers boxes for mine (NOT the tiny ones for hamsters that are sadly also sold for guinea pigs; you can find a picture in our travel guide, which contains lots of practical tips, including tips for weather extremes and longer journeys.
