I was wondering how well-travelled all your guys are . . . Riffy and Scarby (and Doctor) have been to Cornwall lots and to Northumberland once. Rocky has only been up to the vet so far!

they travel really well in the back of the car, strapped and wedged in, in a big travelling hutch.

How do other guineas travel?

All of mine have travelled all over the place!

Whinnie is the furthest traveller - she came to me in Birmingham all the way from Thistle Cavies in Perth, Scotland!

All of the rest of my gang apart from Arthur and Treacle have made the trip from here to Leeds or vice versa either when I moved down here or when I adopted them from the now closed Squeaky Pigs rescue.

I go all over the place with my foster pigs too to get them to new homes - Darlington, Essex and Devon most recently!

We are a well travelled lot here!

My piggies dont do much travelling they've gone to and from the pet shop when i got them which is 5 mins each way max, then to the vets which is he same building as the shop so 5mins again erm then i took Zubin to see my nan once which was a 15 min journey and they stay with my uncle which is a 20 min drive when we are on holiday harry has only ever been in the car once so the day before we take them to my uncles we sit them on our laps in the car so its not to scary for them especially Zubin whos terrified of his own shadow lol x

Munchkin has travelled from Southampton to Lincoln and he is fine in the car. We have a cat carrier and all the boys love it in there lol

The other boys have only travelled around lincoln

My two travel to Hastings quite regularly to see our rodentologists. That's a 3 hour round trip. They go in the cat carrier which is lined with newspaper and vet bed then I pile in heaps of hay. a big bowl of cucumber goes in after the guineas and we're ready for the off :D

They travel about half hour (once in a blue moon) to see the vet in my coat with their heads peering out to see where they are going! LOL

I did the same when rudi travelled he hated being in his cage or carrier so i sat him on my lap lol Zubin would jump so I'm never going to attempt that with him lol x

Mine are big travellers since I move around a lot. In the 3 years I have had Charlie, he has been:-

- North Yorkshire ~ a 4 hour journey, holiday for a week with me, then a 6 hour journey home
- Aldershot ~ 3 hour car journey from Saffron Walden to Aldershot
- North Yorkshire ~ 5 hour journey from A'shot to N. Yorks for oovernight break during very long move
- Scotland ~ 4 hour journey from North Yorkshire to Cairnryan in Scotland to wait for ferry
- Larne ~ Cairnryan to Larne was a one hour ferry journey. Pigs were in one car, dogs in the other. They had to stay alone in the cars.
- Antrim ~ Larne to Antrim was a one hour journey.
- Antrim ~ Moved from one street in Antrim to another about a mile away.

Very well travelled piggers. Off again next year. HOPEFULLY for the last time.
