Hi,

I'm just curious about any information people have about moving out of the country with pigs. It is not an issue at the moment as I have a year left of university however I have always wanted to continue my education in another country. My pigs are only two and a half years just now.

It would break my heart to leave them, I don't think I could do that. I don't think I would trust anyone to take care of them properly.

Does anybody have any experience of moving with pigs? From the UK to any other country?

Thanks for any information.

ive never took mine out the country but they travel well...
what youd need is a "pet passport"
(well thats what you need when you takw dogs and cats out the country)
so id assume thats the same for piggies...
maybe ask the vets there the most likely to know the specifics...
as for actual traveling my piggies travel in the car well and theyve had some long journeys...
air travel i wouldnt know... sorry i cant be more help
x

Hmmm...depending where you go, they may want your pets to be quarantined, as well...I've heard it costs an awful lot, and they often won't let them be with you in your new home for about 6 months...I've only ever heard this about cats and dogs, but I don't see why smaller animals would be any different?
