My darling little gwee pig, having just lost her sister, obviously needs a lot of love and extra love.
Neither of them have ever really enjoyed cuddles. Occasionally I'e stroked them or held them briefly, but they wriggle and I set them free.
I decided this week that I was going to get Treacle to love me. I started by letting her smell me and moved on to stroking her, though sometimes she was jumpy, and finally, she relaxed and let me cuddle her. She wasn't happy on my chest so I sat her on my knee and she sat there for ages allowing me to stroke her. Eventually I moved closer to her cage and allowed her to jump back in.
I'm very happy that she's beginning to trust me and I'm loving creating a better relationship with her!
Any tips will be much appreciated!

Isnt it nice when they allow you to cuddle them :)

I dont have any tips, however i find with my some of my pigs, they are a little scatty while in the cage, but once they are out, they are fine to be cuddled and dont mind it.
keep it up tho and she will soon be settled in having a cuddle :):)

sorry to hear about her sister, run free little piggy :(

Nice to hear shes starting to enjoy cuddles.

Sounds like your doing just fine, and in no need of any help. Just continue as you are, it can take months, or even years for piggies to become very very tame.

It was very lovely! Nfortunately she simply wasn't interested the next day :(
It does sound about right that they're not jumpy when they're out of the cage, though, and I'll bear that in mind, though I don't like to feel as though m upsetting her.
Thank you :) there's a tribute to Pinky in the rainbow bridge pets section :)

Thank you! It's very reassuring to be told I'm doing right by her.
