hi.. i have recently got a new wooden hutch for my guinea pigs but its in need of a clean up and being treated, does any one know what i can use to treat the hutch that wont harm my pigs...
thanks for any help O0

Pets @ home do a stain/preservative which is non toxic an safe for small animals :)

the wilkinsons wood preserve is safe for animals and it's only £4.99 for a massive tin!! O0

It should say on the container

i use Morrisons ( supermarket) own brand

and that states ' safe for plants and pets'

shaun

i got a treatment stain varnishy stuff from p@h was was about £5 for a tin real easy to do too

I had this problem too when I bought my hutch & e-mailed the companies who make woodstains & they all said 'just to make sure you use waterbased stains & these should be fine'.
