which is currently being trialed by the boys, lupin is showing everyone how they fit in - they are larger than he makes it look, both fit in comfortably but he was hogging this one at the time the photo was taken

effort 4 all fleece, and a little wonky as I didnt quite get the sewing right and a lot of this was hand sewn too.

not yet used, the hair was from the wash with their vetbed to make it smell of them both so they would be happy to use it

This was effort 1, in orange spotty and orange and yellow fleece, I messed up by putting the hems on the outside by accident but it gave me the practice of how to make one up, you can just see it next to the yellow stool

I am now trialing effort 5 in the way of making them up, if all goes well I will be making these up to sell, trying to simplify the making up process, they stand up on their own and have no boning in them, all fleece, cotton and wadding and what do you all think of an asking price of £15 each (including postage which is now £2.20 minimum, plus the packaging on top). Of course fully washable at 40 and 30 degrees

there great hun, you charge what you feel is nesecary for the material and your time

and the fact there all fleece with no support is great so * dont have to worry when your washing them

They do take a lot of material up for each sqube, not only with the fleece but the cotton and the fleece is really high quality stuff so it lasts longer washing wise, I wont use cheap thin fleece and it tends to stay dry for a day longer than the thinner stuff and also drys really quickly - 24 hours on a low set radiator so far and they have dried completely, not bad at all.

I made some for my piggies before I got them.
I don't know whether yours are like this, but with mine I'd sewn the inside parts together, the outside and wadding part together, and then I sewed the two bits together at the opening.

My piggies LOVE them, but they took me 6 hours to make each one (hand sewn) so I'll most likely be buying their next lot, or I'll invest in sewing machine (less likely option) :))

Oh and price sounds great to me! Materials definately aren't cheap. I think I paid around £18-£20 for the materials (ordered fleece online and got wadding in local shop) to make mine (I got 2 out of it).

Plus they're piggy tested! :)) So you can guarantee they'll love 'them :) hehe

Here's mine (I think they're loads smaller than yours though and I don't think white was the best colour for me to use on the inside) :

The plan is to make them as less sewing as possible, I did cut each square out in the first trial and then attach them all together, but by trial 3 I found it much easier to do 3 sides as a whole with stitched up sides, the other 3 sides then attache them all together - probably not the best explanation but basically two lots of sewing the basic cut outs, then attach together and make the front hole on one side.

At the moment I can get 1 out of half a meter of cotton and fleece fabric (as in half a meter for both materials) with the wadding on all sides as well. Its more getting the seams to flow right as the basic make up is looking the correct way to go, but like I say, for my health reasons I want as little sewing as possible, the over complex loungers cause so many problems and I dont want to have the same thing over again, the tunnels are pretty simple and I was hoping the squbes would be too - plus they are bigger than the loungers on the whole.
 
That sounds so much easier than cutting out the individual pieces :)) I always do things the complicated way, haha.
I think it'll be a very long time before I attempt to make anything else for my pigs. It's just too much effort. It's much easier to buy them.

I think it'll be great if you start selling these. Yours look so big and cosy :))

I started the cow fleece one by hand, did 50% of it in one day but was just so much quicker and neater on the machine. The first trial had to be hand finished as well, two days that took me cos of my numpty head and putting the seams on the outside DOH! :red. I have one more green (which isnt big enough material wise to do how I wanted) to finish which is trialing the sewing minimally, then I have a new one to do the second section of then sew it all up - if this one works out, this is the last trial of method of making up so I will then know if it works this way or not. Then I make them up for real :o
