Tried Lofi on Pigs

Something that I thought was interesting during their roaming time was how they reacted to the lo-fi music when I started playing it since I wanted to have something in the background. Both of them immediately went back to their hides and started lounging! It was honestly so funny since they were so energetic and then decided to go an nap just from the music alone. I had heard that some guinea pigs liked music, but I didn't think it was that effective for my pigs, haha! Anyone else try this out? Did your pigs react to it?
 
two of my piggies are right next to the TV and are completely oblivious to any sounds coming from it. I suppose they are used to sounds and frequency.
If I put any music on the they are straight into their hides and quite unsettled by it (so we always have music in the conservatory instead)
 
My boy absolutely hate music, if we play it in our phones or the tV they hide and start burring, it’s odd though because it’s only if it’s deliberate music if it’s music on a TV show they don’t mind!

We had to disconnect our sound system from the TV as they didn’t like it. The TV speaker is fine. It must be the frequency that they don’t like

Harold has done some burring, but it seems like it's with some frequencies or if he just started hearing it. Henrietta doesn't seem to mind it at all.
 
Blitzen used to angry-rumble at pop music, it set him off every time. Playing AC/DC loudly though, that was fine. Camowen and Bann aren't directly in a room when music is playing, but they can hear it. They weren't fussed on it at first but now, I think they ignore it. "Mate the human's making things play those noises again" "third time this week, does he have to keep listening to the same stuff?!"
 
My piggies don't mind the tv, because they are used to it, but they don't like it much if I play music. Radio is okay, if I don't play it too loud or at times of the day, when they expect everything to be quiet. Music from my phone is the worst. Sets oft massive burring immediatley. :eek:

They always go to sleep when I read to them. I usually do this when I've got a new piggy in the group as part of the habituation. Sets them off to go snoozing every time. :))

Same here! The two boys mainly, think it’s because I’m always singing to mine and make up little tunes along with the music with their names/nicknames, always guaranteed bonkers zoomies from Luigi when you serenade him! :)) Sad as he’s losing his hearing atm (as well as his sight with his cataracts) poor lad, think he’s going to miss his tunes!

Sure all of my 4 quite like music really, definitely have their preferences though!
