Hello everyone these are my two guinea pigs princess and angel they won’t let me pick them up but I want to cut their nails there not really long but they do need a trim I’ve never done it before so tips on cutting nails and being able to actually pick them up to do it would be great thankyou ❤️

There's no shame in getting them done at the vet. I used them until I was comfortable with doing it myself as one of my boys has black nails and the other screams like he's being murdered! I still use the vet occasionally as they get a good health check at the same time.
If you really want to do it yourself, there are a lot of good videos on YouTube with tips.

Let me guess: Master Boris is the screamer?
 
They might wriggle so you might need an extra pair of hands
I have one piggy that wriggles and my other piggy just freezes
I gentle coerce them into a snuggle sack
Always have treats to hand ( altho my two refuse them)
And get some styptic powder just in case you cut too near the quick ….it stops any bleeding quickly
The Vet nurses are very experienced and I’ve found they love seeing guinea pigs so if you don’t feel confident take them there

I wimp out and get my guinea pig boarder to cut their nails. Having said that, I've had to cut the nails myself this last week as they aren't going back to Aunty Lilli until July and their nails desperately need cutting. I've managed to do them all except for Miss Bramble's left front foot. She just won't let me do it. Piggy Daddy is hopeless but Son No 3 is home for the weekend so I may(!) get him to hold Miss Bramble while I snip away (not happily).
