We rescued our trio of boars before we read the issues that can happen keeping them bonded but we are going to do everything we can to keep them happy. We've always seen some shows of dominance in the form of rumble strutting from all of them. But this past week I have noticed our older piggie getting involved between the other two to diffuse situations, earlier today I witnessed Tommy rumble strutting at Tiny, Tinker came up, chased Tommy to a corner and then stood watching him as if he was in a time out. Has anyone else ever seen this?

I haven't personally ever seen this, but I think you have a better chance of keeping the three of them together if Tinker keeps his behavior up. It's nice to have a moderator of sorts that will break up fights before they happen.

Best of luck!

The only thing I've experienced similar to this is when Lois is on heat she doesn't leave Laine alone and will shun her to the opposite side of the cage to lay down, and if Laine moves slightly Lois is there like 👀 at her 🤣🤣

Eddi is our peacemaker boar, and at various times during different bonding's he has placed himself between two piggies who were getting a bit heated.
It is fascinating to watch, and I hope your boy continues to act as peacemaker.

I see this a lot. My Little Dude is the peacekeeper, and he often intervenes when Chicco has a go at Groucho. Strangely though, I had a bit of an upset with them a few weeks ago, and it was due to Little Dude humping the life out of Groucho! Unheard of! I've always said that the only reason my trio make it is because Little Dude is such a, well, dude - sauntering about saying 'hey man, stay cool'. Seems to work. lol
