Trixie Has Passed Away

I'm absolutely devastated. Trixie was only three months old; she started looking ill at the weekend with no energy and she seemed to have a bit of weight loss too. I took her to an emergency vet appointment and was told she had problems with her heart that were genetic. There was nothing the vet could do for her. I was told she might start to pick up soon and there was no telling how long her life might be. She passed away not long after coming home.

I will never forget my beautiful and bubbly princess. She will forever be in my heart. Play well at the rainbow bridge my sweetheart.

I am so sorry! I have lost a couple of young piggies to congenital acute heart failure myself; sadly these youngsters live with a time bomb in their bodies, and you never know when it goes off. It often happens right out of the blue, as there is no other sign that they could be at risk. Sadly, there is nothing you can do. It always leaves you totally devastated. :(

Take consolation that Trixie has spent the time she has been given on Earth as a much loved and cherished pet; that she has had plenty of love and care! We cannot control how long our beloved pets will live, but we can make each day as happy as possible for them.

Aw that's a very sad thing to happen. Be free at the Bridge little Trixie.
She was loved and probably felt completely healthy up until right near the end. xx

Ohh how sad and devastating for you! I'm sure she knew she was loved during her short time here. RIP Little Trixie!
