Trouble eating

My pigs are all older and have bad teeth mainly because they are rescues.I have noticed that they have trouble eating carrots and pellets as they are hard.I feed them anyway as they eat them and enjoy them and it seems to be wearing down their teeth.I this realy mean of me?

I would check their weight regularly. If they seem to be eating and putting on weight I wouldn't worry but you really need to weigh at least weekly to be sure.

Or just substitute the carrots for softer veg?
