trouble poohing

Hi baz is 4 and since wed has not been eating or drinking i called the vet out who felt him and he was clogged up with pooh and had to squeeze it out . It stunk he had a painkiller , appertite injection , antiboitic. And recovery food to be fed by syringe , the vet came out again later still not drinking and again to day he has been storing the recovery food in his mouth had to flush mouth out with water to check it again he was packed up with pooh again has started to take tiny sips of water and ate a bit off melon and hay but not interested in any thing esle he was given another injection and some antibiotics to give by mouth for next 7 days but been told if pooh gets really loose to stop it . If he does not pick up they said dont know what is up
 
We also been told has he has clogged up with pooh it will prop keep happening so we have to keep squeezeing his behind to get it out any one esle had to do this

Are you giving a probiotic a bit later on after the antibiotics? This should help with keeping his GI system ok. We use Bio-Lapis which you can get at vets sometimes or off amazon / vetuk.

What antibiotics is he on? What was the injection he was given? Is it an exotics vet you have seen?

If they do not know what is wrong, I would suggest seeing an exotics vet with an interest in small mammals & getting diagnostics such as x-ray & bloods done.
 
I had a vet come to the house and they never told me names just said were giving him a pain killer injection antibiotic injection and an injection to simulate his appetite back which has not really helped I got told he has not dehydrated due to getting but fluid from recovery food and I have been syringing water into mouth and he has started to take tiny sips out of bottle they have give me some sephrin 0.5ml a day for seven days but if he his still clogging up with pooh to stop it 2 diff vets came out both are puzzled at him It says they deal with small animals and vet who came today use to breed guinea pigs
 
Most of the time veterinary wise ‘small animals’ covers cats and dogs. Guinea pigs come under exotics so that may be why they’re a little unsure of how to treat etc.

If you could find an exotic vets if it continues you may have better luck with diagnosis :)

Nice but shall i offer baz some of his poo to eat has he was always eating it before now he his not having any or does not bend to try and pull it out he is not amused at his daily squEeze off his bottom by me
 
That is certainly an issue, they do eat one type of their poo & he could be missing out on this unless you offer it to him!
