I was not sure what category to put this in, but I noticed that Winston has had trouble keeping things tidy back there after he goes potty. Is this normal? I took a warm, damp cloth and cleaned him up, which was not very comfortable for him as you would imagine. I felt bad for him, but at the same time, I want to make sure that there was no other problem. His behavior has not been altered in any way, and there did not seem to be any abnormalities...

Hi!

Some boars are decidely messier than others. Please read this illustrated guide about boar problems; it will hopefully help you to judge whether something could be amiss or not.
How old is he? About a tenth of older boars gradually develop impaction (weakening back muscles and problems expressing their caecotrophs (the redigested poos).
