Truffle and Polo

MS has just bought a Bush 4 litre 2 in 1 cooling unit. You can put water and ice into it and it blows air over the ice. It has a timer. I thought it could help to cool the flat down in the evening and morning during the heat waves of summer which are scary if you have pets 🧊 Truffle and Polo are also going to be trying to find space in their cages for ice pods, freezable cooling pods, ice bottles and ice packs and a piece of slate ⛄ I plan to peg white sheets to the windows as well 🪭

I think you’ve got it covered this year @Truffolo
I used one of those machines in my workplace and it was great !
Thank you 🙏❤️ I should be able to take my annual leave during hot weather to keep an eye on things on my flat, but having the fan should give me greater peace of mind. It's scary watching the temperature climbing, even indoors, during the heat waves. I love hot weather, but the piggies definitely don't, especially if you have a hairy tummy like Truffle ❤️

Here is the fan. It's about a metre tall and 30cm wide, so not lightweight. The fan blows strongly. I will test it with water and ice and report back. It has a timer and variable settings for night time use etc. So far it looks good and it should make a lot of difference to the temperature of the room 🥰

That looks very good. That should help keep your flat more comfortable
I’ve used frozen water bottles and ice pods successfully.

Yes, we have tried out the fan and it works reliably. It is very easy to operate and blows a good strength of breeze. It can be used just as a fan with three settings, or as a cooler with a reservoir of water and ice. It empties the water slowly and you don't get water everywhere, all very neat and contained. The room doesn't get too humid. It's not silent but not noisy either. You can easily take out parts for cleaning. It looks nice and is easy to carry ❤️

I put up the piggies' lofts again after taking them down when I moved the cages onto IKEA tables. They seem very pleased to have little bedrooms and are moving more and getting more exercise. Polo stared and stared at his loft when I put him in it, he may remember it. He likes eating his veggies upstairs 🥰 He's still on Baytril and we are getting it down, although it still needs a bit of skill to administer 🥰
