Truffle and Polo

I froze my snuggle safe pods and one of them has lost its plug. I found it and put it back but lots of slimy gel goo has come out. I think I need to replace it. I should have cooled it a bit, gently in the fridge, not the freezer as the gel seems to have expanded and the plug is designed to come out under pressure to prevent the item cracking or bursting. Just thought I'd mention it out of interest. 🫟🧊🧊🧊

That happened to mine too but as I’d had it a long time it’s not surprising.
I ended up with goo all over my hands.
New ice pod now in the freezer

Snuggle safe heat pads(the ones you heat in the microwave ) can not be frozen, but they can be chilled in the fridge.

Ice pods from Scratch and Newton(or equivalent )are designed to be frozen, and make a great summer alternative, and last longer than our human picnic ice pads.

I have discovered that the ice pods prefer to be totally thawed out before re freezing.

I find a little coconut oil on th3 grease gland keeps any deposit soft so it’s easily removed
