Hi. Ive got a 2yr old neutered boar who is bonded with a 9 month old sow. Both are very playful so I wanted to add in a baby as ive always liked the thought of the pigs being in a group. We now have rosalina who is a 2- 3month old sow.
Ive started bonding today in a neutral space with no hides just food and water. I'm about 1 hr 30 mins in at this point. At first raichu the boy who is also the boss didnt even notice the new pig. Now hes gave her a good sniff tried to mount her a few times with no sucess . The new pig as expected is just being very submissive, my issue is that peach my 9m old sow seems to have challenged the boss a few times? They all seemed to be facing eachother & the boy teeth chattered very slightly , they both put their chins up then the 9m old sow backed down. Could my sow be making a play for the hierarchy? If so it definitely won't work because raichu is a big boy and has been always been the boss. I assumed raichu would ne number 1, peach stay number 2 and rosalina bottom of the pack. Rosalina is doing her job its the other two!
