Hello all I'm trying to find like a rescue that helps with piggies that are ill I have contacted 2 places but no luck I heard there are places that will come out and diagnose your pig then take them to get healthy so I'm hoping someone here can tell me what else I need to know I'm new to the whole rescue thing through a humane society...I'm from the USA anyone help is appreciated

Also I just noticed 2 days ago my pig has ringworm I need vet assistance I won't be able to help him for a week

Thanks all

If your pig has ringworm itis vital that you get some treatment asap as it is highly contagious and can be passed to humans too. I'm not sure if you can get this in the states, but this is my treatment of choice for any fungal infections.
Imaverol Ringworm Treatment

It's used as a dip so you leave it on and it continues to work between treatments, It's also gentle on the skin.

Regarding rescues that help ill pigs, I'm afraid I don't know anything about this. I'll tag a few people who may be more helpful. @sport_billy @helen105281 @Wiebke

If you post on Guinea Lynx too there are more members from the US on there and they also have a list of rescues I think. I second the Imaverol recommendation, it may be sold as Enilconazole in the US which is the active ingredient.

Here is our Ringworm guide though in case you need it, there are important hygiene precautions that you need to take:

Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures

Oral medication is often needed for Ringworm too, which you would need to get from a vet, in the US this is called Sporanox and has Itraconazole as the active ingredient.
