hi every1 not been on for a while been busy. Iv been looking for some more piggies but nobody seems like they wanna help me. Went on that guuinea pig rescue norfolk sight to ask about getting some more pigs got some good advice about the pigs i had at the time, but they seemed really reluctante to help me get anymore. NOW this made me a little upset :'( and angry >:( because i have had guinea pigs for years now and yes they can have there problems but i generally dont have any, iv had some gr8 pigs in the past and would really like a couple of sows because i had a gr8 pair and would love another anybody help"! i jus love them :smitten:

Are the sows to go with males and are the males neutered? (Just reading previous post and you said something about neutering.

To be honest rescues have procedures to follow and most do home check although not sure why the one in Norfolk turned you down. :-\

How many have you got at the moment and whats the situation with them? :)

I have been in contact with you via e-mail on several occasions and you said your guinea pig Wendy was living with her unneutered son Fudge who was capable of getting her pregnant at his age (I believe he was 6months+ old) which I expressed concerns about and last I heard you had re-homed Wendy which I was very happy to hear that you had spilt them up. O0
I last recieved an e-mail saying you still had Fudge but I do not feel I have been unhelpful or rude in any way, at no time did you mention two sows being offered a home by you and as one of your guineas (the husband of wendy and dad of fudge) had sadly passed away it was my understanding you were trying to sort out your existing guineas before you got any more. You had enquired about Doon if she was able to be spayed and I explained we would not spay girls unless it was medically necessary.
Until Fudge is neutered I would not re-home sows to you as company for him.
I am sorry you feel angry and upset but I do not think I did anything wrong other than give you the advice you asked for.

If you can follow the advice given by the resuce and have made the changes they suggest you shouldn't have any more problems. Rescues have fairly high standards because they need to ensure the guineas will have a good forever home :)

I agree with Starla. Rescues often have to turn people down, but if they told you why then hopefully you can sort out those problems and then I'm sure they would be more than happy to see you come back with the improvements. :)

perhaps if you can prove that the girls won't be kept with fudge or his dad, then maybe you could have some girlie piggies. from what i can understand in the UK there are too many piggies and not enough homes for them nor the vet knowledge. and if you have just recently lost a piggy maybe it would be best to wait to see if the remaining piggies are alright before getting more. hoping you sort things out. hugs and cuddles from us in australia :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

If you would like to arrange a homecheck and so we can chat I would be more than happy to do so, if you are looking for a pair of sows to live seperately from Fudge I would be happy to discuss it. Our telephone number is on the site.
If we have suitable guinea pigs for your environment I would gladly discuss them with you, but I do not think I have been reluctant to home any guineas to you Doon was not suitable to go with an enitre male, and after your initial enquiry anout Bollo you decided not to re-home at that time as Fudges Dad had passed away and it was him you were thinking of pairing Bollo with.
