After a sudden decline in 24 hours, I had to make the difficult decision to have Turbo pig put to sleep this morning. He wasn’t even 2 😢 he had lost so much weight, wasn’t eating and had a very large gallbladder. I tried and feel so guilty as he was always the one who didn’t get so many cuddles 111678

I am very sorry; you have done all the right things. Turbo has just been very unlucky to come up against something rare and untreatable that is still pretty much going undiagnosed in most cases.

Try to take consolation that you have given Turbo a happy life filled with love. Guinea pigs don't have a concept for how long they are expected to live; they measure their life in whether they have a good day or not. You have given Turbo a life of good days. It is never the quantity, but the quality that counts in a pet's life! ;)

Popcorn free of pain again at the Rainbow Bridge, Turbo!

So sorry for your loss.
You made that hardest of all decisions for Turbo, but also the last gift of love we can give.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve

So sorry that you have lost Turbo. You have made the hardest decision out of love and that is the kindest action we can give x
