Okay so I'm that kinda girl. The girl that does birthday things for her pets, haha. On January 25th I will have owned Tuulikki for a year! I mean, she'll be more than a year old but since I don't know her real birth date, I'm just gonna celebrate it then. But I'm trying to find some creative things I can do, like make a guinea pig "cake" out of veggies or something like that. Anyone have any ideas or wanna share what they did?

Hiya,

A little treat we like to give our piggies is sweet mini bell peppers (some countries called capsicum) stuffed with herbs (not to be confused with chillies of any sort). Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds. Rinse them in cold water to remove any remaining seeds. Stuff with a selection of their favourite herbs. Ours love them every time  Have a look at this thread for some other ideas.Whats On The Menu Today?

I do a 'salad cake' every year- just a big heap of salad greens on a plate. Then I make carrot candles, where I slice the ends off the carrots so they stand up with the right number of carrots to mark the age. Nothing fancy, but they love veggies so it makes them happy!

I'm so glad it's not just me that does this. For Fudge, I stencilled and coloured in 'Fudge 1' on a piece of paper and made her a cake out of a green bean, pepper, lettuce & coriander. We then had a little photo shoot to mark the occasion and she got loads of attention. Unfortunately we never got to celebrate Biscuit's birthday but we will do the same for Romily in May.

I feel bad that Fudge never got a present though so maybe this year they will get a new tunnel or something.
