Hi All,

I was feeding the boys this morning and noticed that Twinkle has a red cast to his eyes I've never noticed before, just makes him more gorgeous as they are now a deep ruby colour it's only from certain angles. Can pigs eyes change colour?

Thanks!

Hehe so I can answer my own question, just found this on Guinea Lynx Healthy eyes reflect red in a strong light. This is especially noticeable in ruby pigs, whose dark looking eyes have a pronounced red cast to them, especially noticeable when photographed with a flash.

As I said it is only noticable from certain angles, glad it's normal and nothing to worry about! :)

Eevees eyes are always red in pictures, its hard to get a pic of her with her eyes looking the usual black. I guess its the angle and lighting after all, lol

The light was coming into the shed, it was only when I looked in the window that I noticed a red tint, have to see if Sunshin'es go the same.

Twinkle is defo getting more like a peruvian his face is flat like one, he is getting huge and is such a mummys boy. He scratched Emily on Saturday, he didn't mean it, but I would say that!...lol

Hiya,

He is 5 months now, such a monkey! Out of all my pigs he is the one I trust less with the girls, but he is getting better! He is still my gorgeous boy! :) I'll be taking photos tomorrow Peter is off work so will post some up! He can take better pics than me with his better camera! :)

bobs eyes usually look purple in pictures, and munchies usually look a lovely shade of brown. although in certain light bobs do show up with red

Well babies' eyes change colour so I guess piggies' eyes could as well! My daughter's eyes never turned brown till she was 2!
