Hi!
For about two months I've had two boars, one is now 8 months and the other is 11 months. They were together when I got them. They seem to have been getting along fine but recently are starting to fall out a bit, teeth chattering and a lot of rumbling, and tonight one even lunged at the other. I'm a bit worried that they've stopped getting along now as they don't seem particularly bonded but they've never fought before. Would it be advisable to separate them and find them new companions or is this likely to pass?

Thank you for any help :)

With a bit of luck this is going to pass as there haven't been any bloody fights yet. if necessary, you can separate overnight and stage a re-intro on neutral after a bath to remove any testosterone stink (the same goes for the cage!) tomorrow or the day after. You can't do to short-term separations too often, or they will become counterproductive, but it can sometimes calm things down. many boar owners find the time between 8-10 month of age the most difficult.
Best of luck!

Thank you for the relies! I'll keep an eye on them and hope that it passes and they're just being moody teenagers :)
