Two Dead within 12 hours. Heartbroken

Peppa my 7year old pig was dealing with some lymphoma but was relatively well but bloated came on and she passed. The vet said the bloat could have been 2nd to organ failure. I bought Peppa back for twiglet her bonded neutered male to say goodbye. Later that day I moved in two females that he knew they played daily so no problem and seemed happy and humpy (if you know what I mean). Then this morning he was floppy and twitchy in the corner and died on the way to the vets. The vet thinks the stress off the loss may have exacerbated some other condition. I cant bear to get a postmortem. My poor babies are gone, one before his time.

I am so sorry to read you sad post - it's heartbreaking to say goodbye to one piggy but losing two so quickly is unimaginable. My heart goes out to you. I hope you can find some comfort that they will be together in the hay meadows over the rainbow bridge. Sending hugs as you grieve

I am so very sorry. It sounds like Twiglet had an underlying health problem as well that was triggered by all the upset. Please don't beat yourself up over it; it if happens like this it means that the fuse in Piglet's body/brain was already lit and would have gone off at any time in the near future. It was an unfortunately coincidence that Peppa's passing provided the trigger and is not your fault.

Both piggies were clearly much loved and pampered but they obviously wanted to stay together forever.
Please try to mourn them as a unit, as a couple that belongs together. It will make it a little easier for you as you go through the grieving process, as I know from comparable personal experiences.
