RavenRed
Junior Guinea Pig
I am pleased and excited to introduce our two new additions.
They came from another home, a couple who had them for 3 months but just didn't have the time to spend with them and so decided to give them up for adoption.
They are roughly 5 months old.
We haven't settled on names yet but I was thinking about Nanouk for the Aby, as she looks like she's wearing a furry hood/coat.
Other name suggestions are welcomed.
This video was taken about 4 hours after they arrived.
They arrived in their carrier and the carrier sat in this cage, open, for them to come out when they wanted.
The little peruvian came out pretty quickly and was back and forth between the pigloo, the hay basket and the carrier.
The little Aby took a little coaxing, but was pretty happy to explore and eat hay after the carrier was removed.
It's a temporary set up, just for 2/3 weeks whilst they are in quarantine from our resident piggies, then we'll introduce them in a neutral area and hopefully they'll all move in to a 2x5 or 2x6 c&c, all going well.
We were given about 10 carrier bags full of hay, accessories and towels/fleece. along with a set of c&c grids and connectors, from the couple, so we're well stocked up.
I think I've learned a lot from the last 6 months, though still much to learn, and we'll maybe do things a little differently this time round.
