I am getting two guinea pig sows, and I was wondering do they need two of everything bowls, water bottles etc?

thanks

I have 2 pairs of sows and each pair is housed separately and has one bottle and bowl between them.

If your sows get on then I don't think it matters as they'd be happy to share as mine are. (It would be a different story if I had all 4 together, mind!)

Mine share bowls and bottles but have separate sleeping places/ hideys as they don't like to share (and gives them a place to be alone if they're in a huff). :(|)

I was thinking the same thing. I have bought 2 bottles and a couple of dishes and hay mangers just in case they dont want to share :))

Will be getting ours in a couple of days.

Most sows do share (although a second dish is not bad when you have got a very dominant sow).

But it is advisable to have two hideys, one big one for snuggling up and a smaller one to get away from each other. Not all piggies are snugglers by nature, so don't feel sad if yours don't - it doesn't mean that they are not best of friends!

I have one bowl between my 3 (2 sows and a boar) for the dry feed, and then they have one of those plastic 2 section dog bowls for their veggies, and they all line up along that to eat!

But I'm very lucky in that they never squabble!
