How on earth do you make a two tier cage?

There is no way i can get a 5ft cage in my house but i can get a 3ft x 2ft two tier cage which would give them 6 sq ft of space per floor...
It really needs to have a proper plastic cage floor so C and C is not an option...
A dog crate is an idea but have no idea how to get a second floor in there...

Does anyone have one of these and any piccies to give me any ideas? Can you get them already made and how much would it cost to do this?

My OH made this out of contiboard from B & Q, we took the measurements & got the pieces cut to size. The back is hardboard sheets, because it was in our bedroom.
I'm sure it all fixed together with these white plastic blocks (made for contiboard) that you screw into each piece but not sure what they are called, but can ask :)
I added a "loft" (the green pigloo is on it) to make a bit more room & the piggies loved to hide under there :)

It was 4ft long & 3ft tall & cost approx £40 but i had the chicken wire already - hope it helps

That looks a good set up! I am tyring not to have wood in the house though so am thinking of a dog crate but needing to know how to put an extra floor in it ?/

What about C & C grids attached to the crate with tie wraps. Overlap the grids to ensure rigidity (again using tie wraps) & correx as the floor.

I used the same principle to make the floors for a C & C i had in a cupboard.

Only other thing i can think of is maybe a sheet of perspex, drill holes in the edges and fasten it to the crate.
