Ugh! I need help!

I have two New guinea pig, I’ve had them for about a month, and I was noticing that they’re nails are getting quite long. They still don’t trust me enough to let me pick them up, but I need to flip they’re nails. I don’t know what to do!😰
 
If you aren’t confident to do it yourself, then it’s best to take them to a vet. The vet can show you what to do and as you and they gain in confidence, it’ll become easier.

If you haven’t picked them up yet, have you been weighing them? Piggies need to be weighed weekly as part of routine care. weighing them is the only way to know they are eating enough hay as hay intake cannot be judged by eye. Weight loss is often an early sign of any illnesses. Ill add in some guides below which may help you

Yes I’ve been weighing them. I let them into a tunnel then pick it up and gently slide them into a bowl during floor time.

that’s good, you can use the same method to pick them up to do their nails once you know how and have them confidence to do it. Do they have black or white nails? White nails are easier as you can see the quick.
 
Thank you for the advice. I’ll see if I can get them into the vet sooner or later. :)

that’ll make things much easier When it comes to doing it yourself!
Both of my piggies have some black and some white feet and they lose their patience while waiting for me to clip their black feet as I’m searching for the quick!
 
Haha! They sound like they’ve got a fun personalities! I read somewhere that with black nails you can shine a phone flashlight underneath them to help see the quick. Is that true?
 
Because if I ever get another piggy I want to make sure I’m fully prepared.

yes that is true and having somebody help you to either shine the torch or to hold the piggies while you shine the torch and clip makes it easier
