Ugh. Preloved :/

I was just browsing the web and up pops an ad. for preloved,I hadn't seen or heard of it before so when I clicked on it I was appalled.

I don't really agree with people advertising pets over the internet anyway, but I thought I would have a look.

The amount of guinea pigs advertised that had already had several litters was disgusting- essentially they are just being treated as an inanimate object or a toy.

But the icing on the cake was an ad that said ' 2 guinea pigs for sale, 1 male and 1 female which have been bred from already. Have to go to a home together'
It frustrated me thinking what if they are sold to an inexperienced owner who
keeps them together and they have more babies and the cycle goes on and on.

Some people are so irresponsible it winds me up mallethead

There's a lot of horrible ads on their. I wish I could save them all but sadly they just keep appearing.


I hope someone rescues that male and female, seperates them and the poor little girl is no longer bred from.

I saw this one and several others about skinny pigs, it made my heart just sink thinking that they will go to someone who does not know how to look after them and give them all the help that they need.

After getting abit annoyed on preloved, I emailed a chap who advertised a trio of guineas for sale, I asked if the male was neutered, this is the response I got back...

no boar is not nutered i dont keep him with females all the time just for littering sows get plenty of rest between litters it is just thst if i sell these two sows i dont need the boar so was selling as a trio

SO depressing and frustrating. I hate any animals to be used as breeding machines, which is obviously what these poor wee souls are. And who knows what kind of 'homes' the babies will go to!
