And I completely blame the oh

So we went shopping and were in pets at home as we needed crickets for the gecko when the OH says "have you seen that Guinea pig on her own in the corner"

OH "come see her... I'm trying to entice her out of the hide"
ME "I can't have any more piggies at the moment"
OH "well she is female so technically you can"
ME "but what if the bonding doesn't really work, I can't set up the bonding pit with mums dog around"
OH "we have space and the dog can be shut in a different room to them"
ME...

"excuse me, do you mind if I have a look at Daisy"

About 10 mins later and she is reserved. Her quarantine ends today so they suggested collecting her tomorrow. She was handed in as the owners had her on her own and weren't able to move her to their new house. She's fully grown, I would probably estimate 1-2 years as she's still very spritely and she was popcorning in her dark little tank...

What have I let myself in for lol

hi lady kelly,i have seen this piggie today !she is lovely and I'm really pleased you are able to give her a forever home.:)

She is adorable and so very tame when being handled. I only said a couple of months ago that I'll stick with 3 pigs ongoing now and not get any new ones.... I think she might have held special powers over us (especially as I don't usually go up to Beaumont leys)

Hi.I ended up with Kyle through my boyfriend.I called him over to see him and he asked the guy to get him out.He was placed in my arms and snuggled into my neck.No way was he going back in the cage.I said couldn't really take a boy in, his reply was we can get him castrated to go in with the girls.Job done, he came home. The first rabbit I got was on gumtree.I was looking through and he spotted tiger-Lilly hiding in the corner of the hutch. He said we should go and get her (from windermere) and we came home with the rabbit that lived with her.She was supposed to be revoked but he claimed her.He then said she should have a friend as the piggies did.Enter Harley (PAH adoption)

Meet Daisy currently being tested in a neutral cage with asbo pig Jemima. They have shared spinach (well Jemima has tried her best to steal as much as possible from Daisy's mouth). They are presently sharing a log arch and making a lot of noises. Fingers crossed it all works out well

So far we are on to round two. Jemima was with her for about an hour before starting to chase and lunge (that blinking asbo pig will be the death of me!). After a short rest Isobel is in with Daisy now but it seems to be ninja style in that they both seem oblivious to the other one being there lol

I hope it all works out well. the fact that she was popcorning shows that she was glad to be away from her former owners.

Well they are all in the hutch together now. 3 of them are happy together, Jemima is still being a cowbag but Issy seems to be sticking up for Daisy. Fingers crossed... its been a bloody long day

After Wilma past, I was able to find a spayed sow for Fred. Initially there was some chattering and lunging but a bonding bath worked wonders they've been together since Friday.

Might be worth a shot for your girls, if things don't calm down.

Yes I still have "tricks" that can be used. When I got Issy last April, she fell out with Jemima about a month later so I separated them into two pairs. When Bumble passed in October I was determined to get the three of them living together so the paddling pool was set up in the spare bedroom, all 3 had a bath and they were plonked in there for 48 hours to "get on with it". Since then they have been living together without any issues. Hoping I don't need to resort to this as mum and her dog are still living with us following my dad's death in February so safe space is difficult.

24 hours in and things are OK. Jemima is on her own on the top floor and the other 3 were sleeping downstairs so I assume she's being a bit of a beast again. No bites or scratches on them so hoping it's been sorted out

I've got everything crossed that the bonding works out, she is a beauty. I am glad she has found a lovely new home with you, I would have found it very difficult to leave her in the shop too.
