Uh Oh

Oh dear :yikes: my mum’s growing lettuce in her raised bed, will be asking her to plant some more seeds so the boys have their lettuce fix lol!

Looks like I’m going to have to persuade husband to grow lettuce for the girls.
Whatever the opposite of green fingers is - that’s what I have

I have never given mine lettuce! But I do have six healthy courgette plants, grown from seed, so if all other veg fail....... they will have to "like it or lump it" as mother would say.

Oh no, the pigs are gonna riot!

Anyone fancy a forum mass exodus to a foreign country? The pigs are going to take over the UK! Anyone see the Pandemic 2: The Startling South Park episode?

I'll have to scour the market on a weekend and move them over to different veg. Curse having a small yard and no access to grass

It's grass season, mine never get lettuce in the summer

Usually the same here but the grass ran out in the garden today! We've lots of dead brown patches where grass should be. I've been cutting round the edges where the runs can't go but it's all gone. Tonight I cut some lettuce leaves from the plant I have in a pot in the greenhouse (for my marmite sandwiches!).My neighbour says we are in for some thunderstorms and heavy rain from lunchtime tomorrow, hopefully the grass will be growing again in a few days.

I'm hoping that we get rain too! I have said to the OH that the patio table and chairs need to come of the grass (well it was grass) and go back on the patio so that the grass gets watered by the supposed thunderstorms of the day. No matter how hard it rains, I'll still have to water the plants under the bay window as it hardly ever gets wet under there unless there are very strong winds and driving rain.
