Um ... should you be able to "peel" the grease gland?

I think it's about time for a wash because his grease gland is covered in a thick layer. But today by accident I somehow managed to dislodge a little and now the layer of grease is kind of peeling off (though I don't think my boar likes it when I touch it, he sticks his bum in the air and rumbles lol).
 
It may be a layer of oily hair, so don't try to pull it off too hard!
 
Best to soften the area first with swarfega so you dont pull the hairs. What poor boy piggies have to put up with..
 
Some boars seem to be worse than others! if you have no swafega you can use
