Hi can anyone please tell me what type of piggy Shy is as the only thing the shop could tell me was that she's short haired and female oh and 4mths old (but we know that crap).
Also I'm not sure if she's pregnant or not as she was in with her babies (they were 12 wks old) and the vet said he wasn't too sure either.
Her tummy is rounded and lumpy but I've read somewhere that this can happen if a sow's had a few litters.
Also if you touch under her tummy she kinda chatters her teeth at you and wriggles about, her teats are really enlongated too.
The vet has given her a proper check over and said that other that her skin condition and fur she's fine.

I can't tell what her proper colour is from that picture (either chocolate and white or black and white...)

She's not a thorough-bred but she's basically a Dutch. Dutch piggies are bi-colour with the charactersitic markings that your cute little piggy has (front usually white, back another colour). Your piggy seems to have a bit of ginger (red) on her too which would mean she isn't a show pig (but that's fine with me - not a fan of shows/the fancy and all that any way!).

All in all, I'd say she was a perfect thorough-bred cutie pie :)

she has a black face with a biege strip on the top near her right ear (above her eye). her body is white and black with beige fleck on her rear end.
If that helps.
Thanks she is a beautiful guinea pig, she doesn't look as manicured as my baby piggies but they are from show stock and she isn't as 'pretty' as the older girls but there's just something about her that I can't resist she's just so cuddly and beautiful.

Thanks she is lovely xx
Out of all my 7 piggies she is the one who loves cuddles the most and she would happily sit on your lap for hours which I find a bit strange as I bet she is the one who's never had cuddles or loves, maybe she's making up for lost time.

Very pretty girl, if she was in with a mixed litter after 12 weeks then there is a good chance she is pregnant!

The vet said by the look of her teats (they're elongated) and the swelling of her tummy she's either has a litter in the past few weeks or she's pregnant but only up to say 5 weeks.
She is a bit snappy if anyone touches under her tummy, I've weighed her on monday and she's just over 1.1kg I was going to weigh her again this monday.
As for the pups that was in with her the shop said they were 12 weeks but that could have been a lie cos they said shy was only 3/4 months then it was 4/5 months (I think it was a case of give the customer any age just to get rid of the guinea pigs - liars), they looked fairly big pups to say there was hardly any food personally i'd have said they were more likely to have been around 16 weeks.
The shop never said what sexes the other 2 were all they said was 'all the guinea pigs we have are in one pen'.
