UN-PIG update: peace negotiations successful!

Intensive work sessions at the main seat of the UN-PIG have created a common policy platform for all members.

Here are the top cavies arriving for one such session.

Sadly, we have to report that the new members of the UN have quickly picked upon the all too common habit of lining their own pockets first!

Smaller members have profited most from the common meals policy and have been enjoying substantial economical growth.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that handbags have been successfully banned from meetings, which has let to a better understanding of women's rights and girl power.

Tegan will be three months old on Monday and is just touching 700g ! In view of her amazing of her squeeze-to-escape abilities, I'm not that unhappy - she's so good at disappearing!
 
What a great thread with fantastic piccies. It drives me mad that people can line their piggies up, and photograph them. It's pandemonium here when I try it! lol x

These pics are the result of TWO sessions with plenty of grass; the second time Taffy was no longer worried about me hanging round on my belly with a camera. None of my piggies wanted to sit with their unprotected back toward me... it's that easy (or difficult)!

That is until Nerys decides to take over - and, yes, she DID! rolleyes
 
Wiebke, as always simply fantastic photographs - and I just love your commentary. Lovely piggies, I adore them all.
 
They're lovely photo's, I love the way all your piggies are colour coordinated.

I tried a photo shoot last night, hmmm lets just say it didn't go so well. My phone camera has a delay and that is all the info I'm giving out.:))

Will try again when my camera's charged at the weekend and will hopefully have better results.

Best of luck - and be prepared for more than one take and the fact that you may get about 10% of decent shots out of one session!

I love following the adventures of your piggies. Its like a piggy soap opera. You should maybe call the next thread Coronation St Piggies or Eastenders piggies. CAnt wait for the next episode!

Master Llewi is a very busy boy these days!

Taffy is his special girlfriend; and he is usually very patient and even tender with Tegan. Although he always makes time for each of the girls!
 
that's nice of him to have taken Taffy under his wing... What a big-hearted boy!

NO - despite having a very soft spot for ginger and white piggies!

The only piggy I adopted because of her looks is Taffy; and not only for those reasons - there were too many parallels with a girl I'd lost several years ago. Llewelyn was chosen by his then mate Dizzy over the most gorgeous lemon agouti half-longhaired boy imaginable x); Nerys and Nia were the only girls in a rescue within reasonable reach at the time; and Tegan was Taffy's only girl in a litter of four - I would have had her however she looked, as my Dizzy had just passed away.

I have tried to adopt other guinea pigs, but they either didn't get on with mine, were already reserved when I enquired, or found another home closer to who needed to rehome them. The ginger and white ones were simply the ones that "stuck"!
