Is it at all possible that Panda could be Fin's daddy? Same crest, same quiff on the bum, similar markings on face and very similar body-build....
Mum wasn't crested but was tri- coloured.

for adoption, about a dozen males and a couple females. I can PM you the link if you wish... but it's really far for you.
 
ok, wouldn't mind a look actuly, there probaly related then because there aren't many guinea pigs, so theres more chace he's one of the litter, i doubt he is not related, i am sure i am right, but if i am not the good luck!

He's such a gorgeous guy and certainly a relative of your Finlay, especially as you got Finlay from there, didn't you? Those markings are so distinctive!

I have seen a couple of what had to be little relatives of my Mischief in garden centres and at p@h over the years; and it's always given me a pang. Even more so, after she'd died...
 
thanks! yep, he/she is definatly a relative, because they were both got out the same rescue, and that rescue didn't have many piggies there so theres a good chance that! hope that made sence! anyway thanks agian vickyt!
 
There is a high number of forever residents at the rescue (there were at least 70 pigs in the shed which got Maxy's asthma real bad); I didn't see that boy when I picked up Fin, but as we were specifically looking for a baby and Panda would have been 3 months we probably didn't pay much attention. We were very set on getting a self but the agouti babies were very cute (we'd just lost the most adorable lemon agouti). There were only 3 babies available for adoption, so we concentrated on those: a lilac, a frightened curly haired black and cheeky lil Fin.

Irene seemed to know who was related to who and to what degree and for how many generations, therefore I suppose we can only speculate...

I'm going to wait until the baby hype has died down a bit and then reassess the situation. We'd need a companion for him and I'm not sure I can cope with four furries, a baby and a husband.mallethead
 
I think you are doing the right thing!

It is sometimes so hard to walk away from pigs...
