New Born Pup
My Victor lost his buddies last year, and was looking very sad. Then I heard about two baby boys that were looking for a home when they were old enough to leave their mum. The owner had bought two sows, one of whom had turned out to be pregnant.
As the local rescue was involved (and Victor had been born there 4 years ago) we decided that rather than find them an 'uncle' when they needed to leave mum at 3 weeks then rehome them at 6 weeks, they could come straight to him as uncle. And he took to his new role like a duck to water.
Here they are on the second or third day (in mid-December). Dylan (cheeky!) on the left and Dougall (timid) on the right. The Ds are around 220 gms at this stage.
And here they are with Vic again, now aged 12 weeks and weighing 700 gms. They look as big as Vic but most of it is hair! They have been increasing their weight by 10% every week. Vic has lost a bit but I reckon it's the worry and the exercise!
