My 5 week old boar, Dixon, is all fluff and belly at the moment. He's a mischievous little menace and his antics are wearing off on his 5 month old housemate, Bear. Which, as strange as it sounds, I'm very happy about. Bear has always been way too well behaved for my liking so adding a little naughtiness into the mix is quite interesting.
I've come across a little problem with Dix in the last few days. Like I said, he's all fluff at the moment and this long fluff on his belly keeps getting caught in his willy. I'm having to pull it out 3-4 times a day. The fur is still attached to him when I pull it out so it's not shed hair and debris getting caught. But when it is caught his whole willy comes out and stays out, looking very red and quite violent. After pulling the hair away it returns inside.
Is there anything I can do, would it be wise to cut the hair or maybe give it a little shave around the bottom half of his belly and privates?
He's long haired and it will carry on getting longer and I fear the problem will just escalate.
Both guineas live inside.
