As we are expecting the arrival of our reserved rescue piggies from Joanne at Hutches Rescue at the end of this month drool we thought we'd better crack on with the building of their new C & C cage. We have completely reorganised our livingroom to accomodate this monster :{ We have plans to fit a bookcase and cupboard underneath it to store the multitude of piggy stuff. This has got to look good as it'll be the first thing people see when they come into the room ") We decided to build it this high so that we can talk to the piggies whilst sitting on the couch. We just hope we havent bitten off more than we can chew! ;)

Work in progress

Best of luck! It looks good!

My only question is how are you going to refill/clean out the hay loft and the far corner as reach could be a bit of a problem?

Oh dear - thanks for pointing that "oops" out, we're in the process of moving it across to the other side of the cage so it is reachable for cleaning etc. We have also left a couple of the grids unattached and clipped so that we can remove them to get to the far corner where we are sure the piggies will escape to when its cleaning or run time! The lower level has been waterproofed with self adhesive vinyl tiles also we are going to use either fleece or vetbed on this level.

Any other advice will be gratefully received - really glad we posted this now!

Looking good! Lucky piggies! I used to get into my cage to clean out underneath the hay tray :)) it was a bit tricky though especially if the piggies were in the cage!

Ooooo it looks good :)) nice and spacey :) Heheh my only suggestion would be to climb into the cage to clean them out (but i dont think that would be practical!:)))
